Simmer: Stovetop: 1. Empty 1 envelope soup mix into medium saucepan. Stir in four cups (32 fl oz) water and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. 2. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Microwave: 1. Combine 1 envelope soup mix and 4 cups water in a 2 qt casserole. 2. Uncover and heat on high power until boiling (about 8 minutes [microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed]), stirring occasionally. 3. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. Caution: Soup may be hot. Refrigerate any unused cooked portion.
