Preparation Instructions (Recommended for food safety and quality).

Stove Top: Combine: Rice mix, contents of seasoning packet, 2 cups of water and 1 Tbsp butter, margarine, or oil in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover: Reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove: From heat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes covered before serving. Makes about 3 servings (1 cup cooked), each.

Microwave: Combine: Rice mix, contents of seasoning packet, 2-1/2 cups water and 1 Tbsp butter, margarine, or oil in a 2-qt microwave-safe bowl. Cook: In microwave uncovered, on high for 25 to 28 minutes. Remove: From microwave and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Makes about 3 serving (1 cup cooked), each. If your microwave does not have variable power setting follow manufacturer's directions.
